What brought you to Powell River?: I grew up here, moved away for college and a ten year stint as an Agriculture inspector in the lower mainland. I moved back to raise my family near my family, swim in the lakes and pursue my entrepreneurial dreams!
When you're not working, how do you like to spend your time?: Spending time with family, hiking, playing music, singing, swimming, camping, voluteering & gardening.
What’s the first career you dreamed of having as a kid? : Probably being a singer... if they could do it why not me? I'm a bit more realistic now... but I still dream big!
What's one thing about you that surprises people?: Nothing. I'm an open book that always speaks my mind, which does surprise some people who aren't used to that. I can be a real stickler when it comes to work, but I love to joke around and try to be friends with everyone.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?: Business is one half doing, one half selling. In other words, be prepared for the work involved in getting your products out there.
What is a dream you have that you’ve yet to achieve?: Hiring an employee to help with production.
What do you love most about your career? : Knowing that so many people enjoy the food I make. Whether its a quick bite on the go, or a special pasta dinner with family, I'm glad Alice's Fresh Pasta can be a part of it, and hopefully make their day better.
